Island's Best Times: May - October.

A half day or full day trip to Kallavesi island's. Starting from May we recommend:

- Hietasalo. A popular island nearby (15 min) Kuopio harbor. Enjoy sand beaches, make a fire in kota. We can take you there in the morning and take back in the evening, what ever you want.

- Karhonsaari. A place for nature enthusiast. Karhosaari is nature paradise. It has arboretum and two protected nature areas. Enjoy two kilometer long nature trail. More: Karhonsaari

- Iivarinsalo. Iivarisalo is a pearl in every aspect. There are many beautiful beaches, fireplaces, easy to walk pine forest. Hihgly recommended ! More: Iivarinsalo

More than day

Best Times: May - November.

Villa Walle (two days): Starting from Kuopio we travel to south. We pass thru Puutossalmi cable ferry, which is the biggest cable ferry in Finland (inlands). A stop at Ihmetupa where you can buy refreshments and food. Next we go thru Konnus channel and after a while to Leppävirta and Villa Walle. Back to Kuopio boat or car.

Summa circle (two days): This is a great adventure with very narrow channels, wide lakes and myriads of islands. The route itself is absolutely gorgeous, take your best camera with you. This is a two-day trip and the overnight place will be tailored to you (hotel, countryside accommodation or tent on an island).
